This was almost-cancelled shoot due to so many hindrances — mostly the unavailability of the vehicles. However, it would be too late to postpone the scheduled capture of one of the bests in life, the moments of love by this wonderfully matched, beautiful and lovely couple. All of these were shot at night at selected places in UPLB. The first three photos were unedited, I only reduced its size and put my signature.

Park & Cecil

December 8, 2010

I learned from Park that his family name is the 3rd among the most popular names in Korea — Kim being the 1st and Lee the 2nd. Cecil texted me just the night before this shoot. Good thing, I had no other schedule of shoot that is why I agreed to spend time with them capturing their special sweet moments. So, here are few of the many of those moments of love!

Park requested that we take few shots of this Tagaytay Econo Hotel. He said that this is a very special place for both of them. It was here that he proposed to Cecil. How I wish that those precious moments were also captured for those are one of the bests in life!

At first, I was hesitant to pursue this schedule of the shoot, simply because I knew full well that I would  miss the most awaited fight of Pacquiao and Margarito on this day. However, I practiced my professionalism and chose that which was the more important — clients over the pleasure of watching boxing. :) Good thing, our van had car stereo. We had to stop the last part of our shoot just to listen to the radio announcers/commentators as they graphically described every blow by blow at ringside.

I really liked the place in South Forbes. Every corner is a work of art and of beauty. It was indeed a wonderful privilege to get inside the place of the millionaires since every unit house there ranges from 10M-25M pesos! Whoaaahhh… At least, I have stepped inside those model houses and villas and Clubhouses built with infinity pools with very inviting clear waters.

Hmmmm… so much for the story. Let the photos tell the rest of what we had seen and experienced in this dream place for the many likes of us — especially me. :)

For me, this shoot was one of the adventurous so far – a mixture of pressure and skills. We started to catch the dramatic sunset and sky combined at Baywalk near MOA. The eyes of Manong Guard would always haunt us and made his presence near us obvious and noticeable as if telling us that we couldn’t just shoot with our gusto. Each time he sees a tripod or a light stand, he’s attracted to us like a magnet and reminded us that we could not just use such gadget. Rain then started to pour as the sun bade goodbye and darkness began to fall.

That same experience was accorded to us when we drove to Makati for a night shoot concept. I knew full well that all the shots would be wonderful if I could use a tripod or monopod, however, the place was replete with guards in white uniform. We were thankful though that somewhere in Glorietta, none of the guards violently approached us but just observed us. Somehow they understood what we were doing was not a commercial shoot, maybe because we appeared as if we were just tourists taking several souvenir photos with matching poses and external flash handheld by an assistant. Overall, we managed to capture photos we planned to shoot. Here are they! Enjoy! :)
